The short version

This is a personal site. I collect your email address if you subscribe to the Sunday Dispatch. I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. I don't sell your data to anyone. That's the whole picture.

What I collect and why

Your email address

If you subscribe to the Sunday Dispatch, I collect your email address to send you the newsletter. That's the only reason I have it. I don't use it for ads, I don't sell it, and I don't share it with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time — every email has an unsubscribe link.

Analytics data

This site uses Google Analytics (property ID: G-DWY5Q1VTSK) to understand how people find and use the site. Google Analytics collects information like which pages you visit, how long you stay, your general location (country/region), and what device you're using. This happens via cookies placed in your browser.

I use this data to understand what's worth writing and how the site is performing. I don't use it to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's browser add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

Contact form submissions

If you reach out through the contact page, I receive your message and email address so I can reply. I don't store contact submissions in a database or share them.

Cookies

The only cookies on this site come from Google Analytics. They track visit data as described above. I don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels for ad retargeting, or any third-party marketing tools.

If cookies bother you: browser settings let you block or delete them. The site works fine without them.

Data sharing

I don't sell your data. I don't share it with advertisers. The only third party with access to any of this is Google (via Google Analytics), and they handle that data under their own privacy policy.

Your rights

If you want to know what data I have about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted — email me at justin.hamilton@hamiltondevco.com. I'll handle it promptly.

If you're in the EU, California, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, those rights apply and I'll honor them.

Changes to this policy

If this site ever does something meaningfully different with data, I'll update this page. The "last updated" date at the top will tell you when it changed.
